Statement of Faith

What We Believe

We are Christians. What does that mean? It means that we believe that Christ is the Messiah known as the son of God, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, the light of the world, and by many other names. We confess through faith that Christ fulfilled the Holy Scriptures by being born of a virgin, living a godly life without sin while on Earth, suffered, died, was buried, and was resurrected on the third day.  We believe there is one God know as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We hold true to the Scriptures as the Word of God. Romans 10: 9-10 states, “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

We believe that it is our responsibility as Christians to honor Hebrews 10: 24-25, which states, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” In doing so, members should regularly attend in church services, observe the Lord’s supper, read the Bible outside of church services, pray often in private and with family/friends, share their personal testimony in public, and witness to others in the name of Jesus Christ.
